I made pasta carbonara this evening. I’m supposed to be on low carb blah blah blah, but let me tell you, I followed that recipe to a T and it was a divine thing to behold. Creamy, peppery, delicious. Sometimes you just need to eat carbs to enjoy life. (And I ate a small portion. Didn’t need more.)

Day 21 of the yoga journey. Feeling stronger. Sometimes my leg hurts because the muscles are working extra hard. But I feel my breath connecting more, deeper. Goal is a whole year of yoga.

Yoga journey started this week. Daily practice. Showing up in the mat, breathing through the stress of life and feeling the physical limitations. I am new to this. I will enjoy this journey.

I just read an article in the Globe and Mail that has me worried. I’m soon to be a PhD, and I’m worried about finding work in my field as a researcher. Because of Trump’s cuts to education there may be a surge in US based researchers coming up here looking for jobs. Please discuss…

Walking. This is what’s on my mind right now. Walking for health. Walking for weight loss. Walking for meditation. Walking.

Death card. A beautiful card because it means that something old is leaving and something new is beginning. A moment of stopping and just sitting with the feelings. A death and a rebirth. The natural cycle of life and of all thing. This moment in history is tough for many people. Nothing is forever.

My parents came over for dinner today. These are the moments to cherish. I loved just sitting beside them and talking about everything and nothing. My dad has Parkinson’s and I feel like there is less and less time.
