Ditto. My mother was a survivor of Auschwitz and I spent most of my 80 years painfully thinking on that. She was the only survivor of her large family. When my close friend announced she would vote for T, I begged her to reconsider as she knew my story. She did not and I now grieve our friendship.

As my mother was a prisoner at Auschwitz/Bergen Belsen, I have felt a psychological kinship. But the support of Israili jews for the genocide of Gazans has given me great pause. Is not the jewish religion one of mercy.? How could that hold in killing innocents, in what seems like rabid vengeance.
