I just completed "Secret Entrance" - Day 1 - Advent of Code 2025 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2025/day/1
Did a bit of an oopsie called "not fully reading the problem statement" so I ended up getting a 5 minute timeout.

Hearing that this year will be only 12 days is bittersweet to hear. On the one hand it saves me from waking up at 5:30 for a full month so I can make the challenge when it goes live. On the other hand I absolutely love the challenge.

Good to know that even the university hosting #FOSDEM can have spaghetti cables on display. Makes me less insecure about my spaghetti code.

Can we all just appreciate how @was.tl manages to get an entire community of people to, year after year, not only hear of adventofcode.com, but also participate in it? I just got my fiftyth star this year after waking up at 5:30 every morning for all of December. What an experience!

I normally don't like online courses, but what I noticed with @pikuma.com is that they have a lot of personality. Like, they went on a 30 second tangent about right being 1 character longer then left. That adds so much character!

Anyone got advice for how to get politics out of my feed? I don’t engage with it but it’s becoming more and more. I like games, programming, obscure tech facts, reverse engineering and looking at other people’s art.
