Here's a couple of pics from my trip.
And you know what me and my friend did after exploring here? Went back along the beach, had a swim in the ocean with the other tourists, and then took the bus back to our vacation home.

This here boardwalk is one of my absolute favorite parts of this route.
It's right on the edge of the lake, there's always a ton of birds, and sometimes you can even spot snakes on the land-side.

Another fun thing about Danish nature is that you never really know when you'll come across a manor or small castle. They just sort of appear.

There's so many insects in the air here that it looks like birds that are really far away. You can also hear their buzzing, it reminds me of vibrations of a machine.

My favorite thing to do out here is to keep an eye out for wildlife.
We might not have impressively large or fun animals like the elk or raccoon I saw in the US or the amazing colorful lizards of Croatia, but we do have cute and silly little guys like this mouse, who is trying his best:

Denmark's small size also reflects in the size of our forests, and most of them are being curated on some level. You can't really find true wilderness here, not like in Sweden or Norway.

All in all, I should have hiked around 45km in preparation for my first 55km #Mammutmarch next weekend, so I figured I'd bring you along for parts of it 🪻
