some info in the WHO initial risk evaluation here www.who.int/activities/t.... Not more pathogenic (at least with the current data), but quite far away from the vaccine strains and other circulating variants, so more likely to circulate as it evades the population immunity.

I wanted to post before leaving work but didn't have time... You've been quick! BA.3.2 was only detected in one sample, so a transient visitor from Australia could also be possible. I guess we'll see what the future brings...

Of note, PE.1.4 is a descendant of MC.10.2.1 that has pretty much remained confined to NZ and was able to compete against NB.1.8.1 and against XFG
