I want to draw attention to how these tariffs will, especially, have negative consequences on PR and other unincorporated territories and even Hawaii, which already paid exorbitant prices given old-fashioned cabotage laws (and other colonial arrangements). #puertorico

Tren de Aragua is the "new" MS-13 from the first term. But we must question these claims. In this paper, we showed how the MS-13 threat was overblown, not to mention all data problems, etc.

From completing my book project it has become clear that while Puerto Ricans have been always treated as 2nd class citizens, this logic did not apply to the municipal bond market. An example, among many more, how even small municipios played the game.

After the US invaded PR, the celebration of El Dia de los Reyes was banned to support the project of Americanization. This changed in the 1930s. Keeping our traditions alive!
