This is one of those moments when previously unfathomable things become reality. We’ve seen it over & over again in history. This isn’t about fighting crime; Trump is deploying federal agents to a city not in the top 30 for crime per capita & in the parts of that city that aren’t the most dangerous.

This is a war of choice by Trump. Iran’s nuclear program was not an imminent threat (intel has been consistent here). And we know diplomacy works. One very interesting early thread that’s emerging is how Trump admin appears really to not have wanted this outcome. Rubio’s statement, for example, is very lukewarm and does no hugging of Israel.
