I'm a librarian, I don't actually own many books because I work in a library. ❤️

So what's the plan? Nationwide work to rule? Roll over like congress? LMK.

Believe me I know. I've dealt with all of our book challenges this year as a school librarian. I'm not saying this is good.

To be clear, I am in no way saying this is good.

Banning a book never made anyone uninterested in it is the point.

While not universally true, the sentiment behind the quote stands, & is relevant given the climate of "parent rights" and book challenges.

The best way to get a kid to read something is to tell them they can't.

So what's the plan?

Hey, constituent (and fellow Wayzatan) here. Can you tell us what you are doing to stop this? Why is there no information about Congress fighting back and upholding the Constitution? We need to know that something is being done.

I wish I had any sort of response other than, I'm sorry and I will keep fighting.

Getting a country with hundreds of years of systemic racism embedded in its societal fabric to vote for a woman of color is not an easy win.
