20. Ghosts in the Snow by Tamara Siler Jones is book one in a fantasy murder mystery trilogy that i love. Im really just big on any sff mystery that does it well

19. Lone Woman by Victor Lavalle starts off with a sense of dread and suspense, yet that fear slowly and steadily morphs into something far and away beautiful once the reasons for fear have been peeled away. Such a great book!

18. The Butcher of the Forest by Premee Mohamed is another novella i adore, filled with a dangerous fantasy forest with the darker edge of fairy tale vibes

13. The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden is utterly gorgeous and feels like the perfect read during winter. Loved all 3 books to pieces!

Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia is another fav of mine! You can't go wrong with any of Moreno-Garcia's books, but i particularly love this one!

This is an older one, but Inherit the Stars by James P Hogan is one of my all-time favorite science fiction novels! It's a mystery surrounding a body found on the moon carbon dated to before humans exist
