There's no way to ask this without sounding like a dingus.... But just how much of the "artwork" that daycare sends home do I need to keep? I present exhibit A:

My 5-year-old spent a solid 10 minutes sounding out the words and practicing his printing to write this very special note for his brother. For those who don't read Kindergarten kid printing who insisted on using his tiny notebook, it says, "Sam stinks."
