We could potentially cut in half the Medicare/Medicaid spending by just telling pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, insurance companies, and medical device manufacturers to fuck off and quit lobbying.

Why does the budget need to be so big in the first place? Because healthcare is expensive as hell. It is no secret that we in the US pay an exorbitant amount for healthcare compared to other countries -- try twice as much, on average, per person annually.
