If that's the case, then maybe they'll decide to ban him. In the meantime, why not just ignore and block him? Why give him this power by hyping him up like he's the literal antichrist or something? Also mods will never be perfect; take matters into your own hands with the tools available

I feel like if everyone just blocked and ignored this dude, he would be much less of a problem. Idk what the goal is constantly feeding his presence by bringing him up constantly. Also people need to stop expecting bluesky mods to come down this hard. That was never their intention from the start

I feel like the voice acting played a big role here. Lum especially was made to sound generally much more pleasant all the time, whereas in the original she was allowed to be kind of catty and grating (in an endearing way). Ataru also loses a lot of the snickering weaseliness from the original

If the protocol is decentralized, you or another platform can host your data if you don't like the way bluesky is handling it. Certainly more open than anything Twitter is doing

Also no ads, and no AI training. Bluesky actually feels like it's trying to push social media forward in some way. Twitter just feels like it's a bloated decaying mess at this point

Their approach to decentralized moderation, giving the users the tools (extensive personal moderation settings, sharable block lists, subscribable moderation services) to self-moderate as they see fit. Also the whole decentralized protocol that it's built on is a really interesting project imo.

Or, crazy idea, people just like the way this place is run better. Y'all are free to come through as well lol, but you'd rather spend your time posting here about why people aren't on Twitter

Bluesky seems more focused on tagging and giving users the options to self-moderate/filter out the content that they don't want to see, which I think is a solid approach
