“We cannot lose our humanity. It is necessary for us not to lose our solidarity. It is necessary for us to think a little bit with our hearts.” —Lula

Absolutely. It’s why in our BDNH guide we say “...we are
encouraging people to organize collectively to support refusal and mitigate the consequences of retaliation”— a fancy way of saying safety in numbers.

And it’s why we offer supports & resources to help HCWs feel less alone! bit.ly/BDNHLaunch

With pictures of Josh Shapiro signing bombs in the news today, like Nikki Haley months ago, I’m thinking of the lives and dreams that will be obliterated.

I’m thinking of “A child who only ever wanted to play with his older brother's marbles.”

From an Arundhati Roy article published April 2003.

a hilarious+ touching side effect of practicing 4 parts of an apology with kids is that you’ll come across notes like this that raise more questions than they answer.

(this is made more darkly funny by the fact the 6 y.o. author had his arm in a cast but clearly wasn’t letting it cramp his style)
