This morning’s coffee spot
We had a hard winter and lost all of our hives ☹️ so we ordered 4 packages of new bees. The boxes are roughly 3 lbs / 10k bees. I’m always amazed at the size of the boxes knowing how many bees are inside

Bee yard is up and hives are buzzing. (Just need to finish wiring the solar panel for the electric fence. Don’t want the neighborhood bear getting into the bee boxes)

Did anyone else have one of these at their local playground? We called it “The Witch’s Hat” and it was awesome. Our playground organizers made sure there were tires stacked around the pole to about waist high because ya know safety.

I started doing my own nails. It’s been wildly fun because I typically have to label all drawings on my whiteboard when I’m teaching so my students know what I’m attempting to draw 😂

I didn’t get the best photos, but our trials motorcycle club rode in the town Christmas parade tonight. Lot of excitement over the car hopping 😉

It’s that exciting time in our house… #Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade bingo! Of course I made Al Roker the center spot.
Rules are any bingo formation but the float, balloon, band, etc. has to cross in front of the Macy’s store before you can mark it

Then there’s our bees. We currently have 5 hives. Here’s a pic of a frame of honey comb with bees on it. I added a crown sticker to the pic to show the queen. You can see she’s a little bigger in size and darker in color

We also have ducks who like to come looking for mama (me). The girls are constantly trying to look in the window of the back door

My neighbor loves thrift store finds. He gifted us this box of recipe cards from the ‘60s. There’s some doozy jello recipes in here 🤢😂 We keep saying we’re going to have a dinner party where everyone randomly pulls a recipe from here and that’s what we serve

Oh the cuteness!! Our “puppy” was always matched in weight with his age by months (7 months/70 lbs) 🙄🙃 Thankfully that slowed down once he hit 90-ish lbs.
