I’m a die hard Democrat. Served one term in the Ohio house of representatives. Best job was doing Capital for a Day under Gov Celeste. We took the entire state government to 34 different cities for 24 hours bringing government to the grass roots!
In response to Trump's rant about Government shut down, Government healthcare has never and will not be available to undocumented people. Democrats’ concerns (Medicaid cuts, subsidies for the Affordable Care Act exchanges, and an end to rescissions) have nothing to do with transgender issue.

Dr. Amy Acton has announced her candidacy for Governor of Ohio. As the Director of the Dept. of Health under Governor Dewine, her daily press conferences were instrumental in getting people through the Covid crisis. I am thrilled that she will be the Democratic candidate for Governor!

Spent today helping a refugee family get settled. Thru our local refugee agency CRIS. We bought what they would need to start a new life here. The day was one of the most gratifying days ever! Watching the children play, the women cooking - wow! Will CRIS be out of business after January 20???

Once I semi recovered from the trauma of the election I began to think what Icould do. So I am going to volunteer on a suicide hot line and get more involved in Moms against Gun Violence. Don't know that it'll change the world but it's all I can do (oh, and also, try to fix my Democratic Party!!)

Hi. I’m a newbie to Blue Sky and looking forward to finding common ground with folks. I love cats, progressive politics and folk music, to name a few of my interests. Not a regular social media user so this will be a new learning experience for me!!
