Reading @andrewdarby.bsky.social latest book, The Ancients. Whilst as a botanist l might be biased, I would encourage all lovers of Tasmania's trees to find a copy to read. It is full of old friends: colleagues & botanical heroes- who played a part in my path of studying Tassie's eucalypts.

Found this gem of a photo at my parents last night. My Dad, with myself (his hand is on my head) and 3 of my siblings (one was still to come). Circa 1983, Tasmanian suburbia. My Dad lived in brown clothing back then. 🤣
