Getting the volunteering process right is essential for both an organisation and the volunteer. Heneb is committed to delivering the best they can, and I'm delighted to be working alongside them on this journey.
Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we're lucky enough to be working alongside Dr Marian Gwyn to develop our volunteer journey and expand opportunities for people to engage with Heneb's work.

This remarkable archive offers so many opportunities to explore a challenging part of Welsh history. The work currently being undertaken to make this collection even more accessible is commendable.
The Penrhyn Jamaica Papers Project would not have been possible without the past labours of many talented, passionate and amazing people. Including those who collaborated with us in a BU funded workshop in 2023. Such as: @cevans3.bsky.social @mariangwyn.bsky.social @corinnefowler.bsky.social

Delighted to have been part of the team that put this application together. Digitising this collection will make it accessible to a global readership. These documents reveal the role of imperial families in the daily workings of Atlantic slavery.
Delighted that, together with Bangor University Archives, we’ve been awarded Welsh Government funding to digitise Jamaica papers within the Penrhyn estate archive:

Had the immense pleasure of visiting the @NationalGallery #VincentVanGogh exhibition. Blown away by so many superb examples of his work in one place. Seeing his use of colour and brushwork so close up was a treat beyond measure.

Facilitated two focus groups today for a museum wanting diverse perspectives on future plans. Sharing opinions respectfully on challenging objects shows the value of honest and open spaces. Common values to the forefront of every discussion.
