On November 7th, I will deliver the lecture "‘Times of Total War: The Two World Wars in Comparative Perspective", organized by the Faculty of Humanities of the National University of La Pampa.

Next Wednesday, I will have the pleasure of discussing the challenges of researching the Great War in Latin America's "peripheries" at an event organised by the Department of History at the National University of Colombia.

In September, which comes to a close today, I had the pleasure of taking part in the round table ‘Latin America Facing Global Crisis Scenarios: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives’ at @muhca_cartagena. Many thanks to @uni_cartagena and @Grupo_la_Rabida for the kind invitation!

Next week, I will deliver a lecture on the Falklands/Malvinas War at the Chair of War Studies at the University of Potsdam. Those who are near the city and interested in this topic are welcome to attend.

At the mega-international conferencia international conference #SWW80YearsOn, organised by @SWWresearch at @KingsCollegeLon, I had the pleasure of presenting my paper "A Global War: The Humanitarian Mobilisation of Neutral Argentina".

His brother Robert, who served in the infantry, joined the RAF after Thomas' death and was killed in action six months later.

Today, I visited the British war cemetery in Stahnsdorf, where the remains of those who fell in Germany during the First World War are laid to rest. Among them is Thomas Colvill-Jones, an Anglo-Argentine volunteer and young RAF pilot who departed from Buenos Aires in 1917.

As a Visiting Professor, I will teach some classes in the Seminar 'A History of Violence: War and Conflict in Postcolonial Latin America, 1810-2010' in the Master’s programs in War and Conflict Studies and International War Studies, the latter a double degree with @UCDHistory
