I agree in principle but I do wonder if a streamlined, reorganized, 21st century postal service could be at least a break even operation.

Agreed. Both parties are corrupt and deeply flawed imo. The system rests on money far more than on a genuine desire to serve. Trump was just the final nail in the coffin of a decaying system. Decent politicians and leaders of all stripes need to come together and rebuild.

I suspect Carney knows that, but nonetheless, until we have developed enough alternative trade partners they we no longer need the US, we have to hold our collective noses and try to deal with him.
