5 years ago today, I received my bladder cancer diagnosis. Stage 1, treatable. A few weeks later on March 2, 2020, I received a much worse 2nd opinion diagnosis from MD Anderson. 2nd form of cancer fatal and recurring. Chemo, surgery and maybe live. Grateful to be here! #gratitude #cancersurivor

People often ask what my first reaction when I heard I would lose all of my long blonde hair. Die it purple! And then pink. Obviously. Pink hair photo taken at MD Anderson during one of my 3 day stays for chemo treatment. Gotta love the chemo-caused face puffiness.
