Nothing says 1950s Christmas like bubble lights! The gently heated liquid gleefully bubbled, adding movement & sparkling color to the tree. First lighting up homes in the late ’40s, they dazzled into the ’70s. And now you can find them online!

Here's a great Throwback. Who remembers the 1972 CBS TV special "The House Without a Christmas Tree"? It was a very low budget production, but a really good story that was well directed and well performed!

Now THIS is a Throwback for Thursday. A sweet, handmade vintage car coat from the late ’70s. They were a thing then! The lining was worn out, and it needed some love via an upcycle...which is in progress. Look for this and other upcycles soon!

Faith Ringgold is just incredible. She is a brilliant artist who blends painting and textile art into incredible "story quilts", telling, powerful stories about African American history in narrative scenes on beautifully sewn sections of fabric.
