Nicholas Sampson stepped down after we revealed a toxic culture at Cranbrook & that he’d kept on a teacher who admitted to looking up girls’ skirts. The teacher’s registration was removed. Our story sparked government & internal inquiries. Cranbrook apologised. Investigative journalism matters.
Following the fall-out from our #4Corners Cranbrook story earlier this year, the school has announced its new principal after the departure of Nicholas Sampson bc of revelations in our journalism. For first time in school’s history, it will be a woman - former Ravenswood principal, Anne Johnstone.
