Some pretend that the US is a monolingual country. Not true. This multilingual poetry reading at the UIC School of Literatures, Cultural Studies, and Linguistics, and freshman in the pre-health professions, who are first or second generation, should inspire us to defend language rights.

Many inaccuracies in this article, but it is true: a reorganization is in the plans. It will affect how we serve our students, specially Latine students, and will not solve the deficit, but, perhaps, make it worse.
