Retired life in Paris... Finally admitted to ourselves that walking half a mile carrying groceries is getting to be a bit much... so we bought a cart. Man... those baguettes can get heavy!

Let me start out by saying, I love Wendy's chili. So I went to the internets & what do you know, they had the recipe. Then I used good old Jiffy cornbread mix spiffed up with some sour cream. You may add cheddar cheese & sour cream to your chili, but I enjoy mine without the accoutrements.

Gene & I are missing Paris so tonight I made French Onion Soup & a Croque Monsieur and not a croque with just a piece of ham and cheese between 2 pieces of thin white bread with a bit of cheese melted on top.. it's got a proper bechamel of gruyere cheese. So we are all cheesed out & quite content.
