Write in the margins. It's easier, and you'll get it done. Have to buy real books to do it, but that's a plus. Then in 20 years you can revisit the book and learn about your growth.

I read physical books almost exclusively. I like to scribble in margins, note exceptional sentences, good and bad, and highlight passages to remember. I also like the feel and heft of an actual book.
