Themes of reciprocity and symbiosis often weave their way through my work. Whether investigating bioluminescent bacteria in the oceans or refugia in forests, I am pulled toward these examples of cooperation and mutual support for the greater good. #artsci #ecology #environmentalphotographers #art

This week I camped in the shadows of three different active volcanos; Newberry Caldera, Mt. Hood, and Mount St. Helens. At each of these places, I sensed the potent, seismic forces that lay beneath. As I created images, I pondered the ways in which one can capture radical change in a still frame.

My solo exhibition, Drawn from Memory: Mapping Salt and Time, opens today at the University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts. The show runs through October 10th. I will be on campus to deliver an artist lecture, which is free and open to the public, on Wednesday, September 24th at 2:45PM.

I am incredibly honored to be selected as one of the 2025/2026 Cummings Residents at The Griffin Museum of Photography. The Residency Award includes an exhibition/installation in 2025/2026, a catalog of the series, and a $5000 honorarium.

I am excited to share that my exhibition Thirteen Hours to Fall opens today at the Radford University Museum of Art. The show includes many new works created during my artist residency on campus last fall. Please join me on February 19th at 4PM for an artist talk followed by the closing reception.
