We can do more than thank them. We can protect them when they suffer the health impacts that they have from putting their lives at risk. So many fight for their health care coverage for years. Cities, counties and state agencies fight their workers comp. www.change.org/p/protect-ou...

My cousin had polio as a child. She struggled to walk. It impacted so many families and communities. So many diseases have disappeared and the collective memory of the consequences of the virus seems to have been lost.
