Pride and Prejudice, Austen is very witty and it shines through in this one. Another favorite is Toni Morrison’s Beloved. Her writing is so beautiful and visceral. I felt like I was right by Sethe’s side as she fled the slavers. It felt so real. Beautiful writer.
