Using data on EvAU, a national high stakes exam which gives access to university, we show how after the LEZ implementation, schools located in that area also improved their results by 0.17 SD ✨💫

We answer these questions using a natural experiment 🧪 in the city of Madrid, where a Low Emission Zone was implemented.

Using a DiD design, we show how the introduction of the LEZ created a sustained improvement of the air quality in the city of Madrid! 🌈
