quick take is yes— these metrics should have minimal overlap. but that means grading offspeed stuff without considering velo diffs, which is doable.

i also don't like having to specify “primary” fastballs for stuff calcs. arsenal metrics that evaluate all pitch pairs don't have that requirement.
