The God of Jupiter is the Lord of Magicians, MARDUK KURIOS of the Double-headed Axe. MARDUK was born of our Father, ENKI, to do battle against the forces of the Ancient Ones.
Clinton hasn’t held office in decades, Schumer‘s going to catch a primary if he even runs, and Mamdani is the elected mayor of NYC. And that tells you all you need to know about the Democratic Party. Its the coalition where progressive candidates and policies can thrive.

As a player you can’t really perform the combat actions, the running, jumping, lockpicking, etc that have more fully developed rules. But players can and do perform the social interactions- for many it’s the heart of the experience.

I suppose it depends on how you feel about world of darkness games and whether they count. Back in the day I played a ton of the available games- DnD, Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Paranoia, Call of Cthulhu, all the WoD games... but not much recently. In all cases the live RP dominated the rules for social.

What the actual fuck is wrong with these people?

"I persuade the guard to release us. [roll d20] I succeed." feels real bad. Meanwhile actually providing a persuasive argument in character that could plausibly succeed, maybe supplemented with a quick check, feels great.

Seems to me that the social interactions in RPGs are generally experienced by the players and the DM AS social interactions where they are roleplaying and thus any rules system beyond some basic "is your character convincing/intimidating" feels weird to interact with.

Look, I think AI as it currently exists is nowhere near the labor saving technology it's being sold as, but "what do people do when we automate work" is a very old question and the answer is that they're freed to do better/easier jobs and society gets a higher standard of living.

A lot of these same people firmly believe that every progressive who loses a primary to an incumbent Democrat lost because of some conspiracy of the DNC (recently AIPAC is taking over the boogeyman spot, what a surprise). Complete refusal to grant voters agency.

How much was the bribe for this one? Where is the reporting on the dollar amounts Trump is selling pardons for?

Pretty sure everyone hates weird antisemitic conspiracy theorists more than people who understand how elections work.

Explain how you lose to an unpopular candidate unless you are less popular.

Zero excuse for repeating this lie. Zero.

This is the same paper that invented a story about Biden having Parkinson's disease completely out of whole cloth and published it during the presidential campaign. Baseless speculation reported as news, but direct emails about Trump's link to the kiddie fucking conspiracy swept under the rug.

I know for me at least there's a sense that we've installed a lot of policy changes where the bill has not really arrived yet but the ultimate costs are inevitable and what we're waiting to see is the scale of the damage.

You see this stupid bullshit from across the ideological spectrum of Democrats- Sanders says crap like this all the time as well. It should be disqualifying. Democrats stand for Equality and Freedom, and the only people focused on identity are the people who want us to be Unequal and Unfree.

Amazing how conspiracy nuts always end up in the same place every time.

Meanwhile the actual eventual winner, Joe Biden, spent almost exactly 1/2 of what Bernie spent and 1/10th of what Bloomberg spent.
