Ladies and gentlemen, that is how you photograph a full moon rising over #Louisville. Utterly sensational capture by Duke Marsh yesterday evening with the moon peaking through our skyline! This is ridiculously cool!

📸 sent to me by Duke Marsh and captured from Silver Hills in New Albany.

I had to beat the heat tonight. 🍨

Ladies and gentlemen, that is a shelf cloud!!! An incredibly mean looking shelf cloud moved through Lagrange, KY this afternoon. While these shelf clouds look super mean, many times the storm isn’t severe. The shelf will coincide with the arrival of the gusty winds.

This week I have been sharing video from my scuba trip to Curaçao. Tonight, the subject is eel! I am going to show you the spotted moray, green moray, golden (rare), and the sharp tail eel! Some of the green moray eel were huge!

This is the best video I have seen so far of the tornado that hit near HWY 111 about 4 miles south of Seymour, IN around 10:30 am today. Watch all the way to the end.

After each scuba diving trip, I enjoy sharing the remarkable views I got to experience. Tonight, I will give you a quick view of Curaçao. The pristine beaches of Klein Curaçao to the beautiful turtles majestically swimming through the waters of the islands. Enjoy my Curaçao turtle video! 🐢

After a long tornado season, I finally got some time off to relax and spend some time scuba diving. It was much needed time off. I will be sharing some of my dive trip later this week, but I have to say, it is good to be back on air at WDRB.

Ok, this is insane. Chris Gross is reporting the heat has been enough to melt and chip the sealed asphalt on 160 in Salem, IN. 😮

Mother Nature has shown me some mercy with clear skies to image with my telescope! Tonight is another test night to dial out all tilt in the imaging train. This can be a tedious process since microns matter. Maybe a few images too. 🔭

That is one of the insanely bright rainbows I have seen. 🌈 Incredibly intense!

On a day like yesterday, I had to enjoy some outside time! The destination was Natural Bridge State Park & Red River Gorge and views have been amazing!!! What a day!

Based on the morning data, I cannot see a way we don’t get a bunch of warnings Sunday night with a watch. Large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are possible.

5 months. 32.25 hours of integration time. 25+ hours of processing.

= My image of the Heart Nebula. The Heart is a close galactic neighbor that is only about 7,500 light years from Earth. It is nothing less that spectacular!

Captured from my backyard in Louisville, KY.

Check out this dust devil that hit off Mt. Eden road today in Shelbyville, KY. Notice the play area up top! The family is very grateful the kids weren’t using the play area when it hit. This is one of the stronger dust devils I have seen in a bit!

*This is preliminary as the survey continues.

This was just sent to me of a vehicle roof from Goshen, KY. Notice all the hail damage. If you saw ping pong sized hail or larger, have your roof inspected for damage and check your car.

With clear skies tonight, it is definitely a telescope night! 🔭 My dad asked if I wanted help and I told him he is *always* welcome. He showed up immediately.

I am still trying to finish a project I started in November. 🤞🏻
