Benefits at Lower Third. Watching Benefits is a visceral cathartic experience. You don't just watch them you experience them. They sneak up behind you hit you over the head, knock you to the ground, jump on your head then kick you in the kidneys.

First up at Lower Third tonight was Dan Le Sac with a manic dnb set which seemed to hit about 1200bpm in places. Lush. Welcome back Dan.

I've liked NewDad since I heard their first singles back in 2020. Tonight sees them promoting their new second album Altar with a 15 song 60 minutes set to a sold out crowd. Love the growling bass and the two-part harmonies.

Out tonight to see NewDad supported by Cardinals at Chalk Brighton.

Saw Cork band Cardinals just a few weeks ago on the So Young tour and was well impressed and they were just as impressive tonight. Looking forward to their album.

Brògeal played their first album in its entirety and there's not a filler in their 60 minute set. A good mixture of out and out folk punk thrash and some sombre slow ones. Go see them and have a dance and a shimmy.

Out tonight to see Falkirk punk-folk band Brògeal at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston with Banquet Records
