Ok. I think I get what you are saying. I still doubt the working class will ever benefit from his shenanigans. Presently, it looks far more like fascism to me.

If so, how has Trump helped the working class? How has he pushed towards universal public healthcare? There are 2 politicians claiming to be socialists - Bernie Sanders & Zorhan Mamdani - tell me - how in the hell is Trump similar to those two? What policies do they share?

Inevitably landing socialist? So when does US get universal public healthcare? What are the signs it's inevitable. Until US gets that, like every other democracy, suggesting socialism is inevitable is absurd. In USA, socialism is just for likes of Musk, Trump family, cronies, banks, large corps.

And yes, I do judge trumps corruption as his policy. Always has been.

I suppose everything is relative. In most other democracies Bernie Sanders would be seen as centrist - supporting public healthcare is normal centre in almost all other democracies.

Politicians should be judged by the effect of their policies - not their self-presentation. Trump presented as supporting working class – his policies don’t match. Harris/Biden policies are centre. Obama ACA increased funding to private healthcare industry - that's right wing policy - not centre.

Democrats have occupied the centre for decades. Left leaning politicians like Bernie Sanders are always pushed to the side by the Dem establishment in favour of centrists like Obama, Clinton, Biden & Harris.

we'll never move forward with either electrification or autonomous driving technologies until we find away to "unbundle" the extreme general-purpose, capability-over-everything construct of "cars," and start developing a more sophisticated market for mobility than "sledgehammer fixes everything"

Ok, very happy to let you fight fascists on the celebrity diet-drug promotion front. I'll look after the rest.
September 1, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Feels like this pressure has always been around - it's just that hype around a new drug has been introduced. Surely there are more effective battle fronts to man in the face of fascist threats - this one seems trivial.

An ice vehicle is zero emissions before filling the tank in the same way an EV is zero emissions before charging. Of course, much lower emissions involved in fabricating the tank.

Nonsense. Every case is different.

I just don't think this movement has anything to do with actual utilitarianism or rationalism although it's members may think that's what it's based on.

Glad you put rationalists in quotes - nothing rational about them. True rationalists would not elevate ai to havung that power.

Acceptable if you change the -"we" to "I" and the "crazy" to "sociopathic".
