why are you so concerned about criticizing “fearmongering” and have zero energy left for actually supporting or learning from the people who are most victimized by rampant COVID spread? The only thing you ever have to say about COVID is “well it’s bad but it’s not *that* bad for my personal taste”

It’s an unprecedented mass disabling event. You’ve built a career on listening to people marginalized by medical systems and understanding how public health institutions distort data and hurt people. I’m glad you’ve found cause for optimism, but many high-risk and disabled people don’t share that.

This is such irresponsible framing. I urge you to learn more about a) the decoupling of reported death numbers from objective reality (better measured through excess deaths and wastewater numbers) and b) the extraordinarily high incidence and severity of long covid. It’s not getting better.
