Himeji Castle, Japan (known to many from You Only Live Twice and Shogun). It was only when approaching this beautiful and iconic building on foot that we realised it was scaffolded and completely covered from view. Ok, we could have checked that it was undergoing major renovation…but still.

In fairness to the objecting MPs (or some of them), they might be saying it’s the policy/mechanisms set out in the bill which aren’t watertight rather than the drafting itself.
