For the first time in my entire 35 years of life, I read the entire Book of Psalms.

It is an entire book of the Bible written to God. We are taught how to pray throughout Scripture.

But the Psalms are themselves prayers. #Refuge #Scripture #Psalms #Christ #Jesus

The first and most basic thing we can and must do is to keep God before our mind… This is the fundamental secret of caring for our souls. Our part in this practicing the presence of God is to direct and redirect our minds constantly to Him.

Remember, God is always right on time.

Jesus, my all in all thou art; My rest in toil, my ease in pain,
The healing of my broken heart.
In war my peace, in loss my gain;
My smile beneath the tyrant’s frown,
In shame my glory, and my crown.

“Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns! See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!”

Haven’t read this in YEARS.

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

Your will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;

God is not POOR in mercy. God is RICH in mercy.
