What are your biggest pain points in D&D 5e combat?

In 5e, it seems every class has a wide range of abilities, which overall, I like, but it can slow things down.

Do you think each class has "too much" to do or maybe it's an issue of how it's presented & organized?

What's your starting point for character creation in D&D/TTRPGs?

I like to start visually. Playing with Hero Forge or drawing to spark ideas. The main character concept usually pops into my head during this.

GM's, what are your thoughts on breaking the rules for spell components with monetary values?

If a PC is casting Revivify and wants to use an item of personal significance they consider priceless in place of the typically required diamonds, would you let it happen?

Is it weird I've never once played in or GM'd a premade D&D module over the past 25 years?

No shade towards premades, I just always gravitate towards homebrewing every time.

There's just something so alluring about creating your own worlds and I can't get enough.

As convenient as digital is, there's something really wonderful about being able to go back through decades of old maps and notes from ealrier games. How some were intricately planned and others just scribbles & 90% improv.
