I recently purchased an ethically sourced rabbit pelt for my altar. It’s been on for almost a month now and I love the vibe it brings when I’m talking to the gods, landvættir, and my ancestors.

Start of a simple project, a walking stick but going to make it more for ceremonial uses, like hiking into an area to honour the gods and spirits or if I’m joining someone for a blot. So far the bind tunes are Odin and Njordr, there will be more I just haven’t got there yet #heathensky

A little update to my altar, I made a little web of wyrd with the Överhogdal Yggdrasil ontop. I chose the colours for the threads red for ancestors, green for gods, and blue for the Vættir. It’s my own little touch.

I see a lot of post on FB asking about runes and translations or divination. I’ve always recommended these two books. Call of the runes covers alot and is amazingly put together, while only covering the elder Futhark. While the Runes A handbook covers more academic with more runes
