Hello friends! It has been COLD AF in Ottawa the last few days and that has gotten us thinking about how nice it is to feel snug and cozy.

So nice that our Virtual Con, coming up April 12th, is going to be Can*Con, Cozy Edition. Cosy*Con, if you will.

I'm also getting back into the short story submission game, with one story to a market I already submitted to (@shoreinf.bsky.social) and another one to new one (Splinter Journal).

This is the year I'm querying my novel to ALL the agents... Started on January 3rd, I'm up to 5.

If you are opened to queries, in the right genre, and are the right fit according to your MSWL/website/etc. my novel is coming for you!

Fine, the ALL may have been overly dramatic, but I'm excited!

It's official! The great @datlow.bsky.social has my story "I clean the monster that killed my husband every morning" from Novus Monstrum in her best horror of the year list. I couldn't be prouder to be in the company with so many other great authors (and friends).

I got mentioned in Ellen Datlow's The Best Horror of the Year 16 for my story in the Novus Monstrum anthology with some true legends of the genre. Definitively first post worthy!
