Indianapolis Fire Dept. says 2 men, who were staying at a home that went up in flames this morning on Walker Ave., threatened firefighters as they worked to get the fire under control. IFD says one man tried to go inside the burning house to get his gun. Metro Police arrested the man.

A new hotel is going up next to the Indianapolis International Airport and will be connected to the terminal.
The airport authority says the 253-room hotel will be a Marriott Westin brand. The hotel will include a restaurant, a lounge/bar on the 7th floor, and 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

Take extra care to stay healthy, as the flu has killed 97 people in Indiana this season, including 17 in the last week. The state health department says the flu has claimed the life of a child for the first time this season.

BREAKING: Jury convicts Orlando Mitchell of murdering his son’s mother outside of an Indianapolis daycare. Mitchell is also accused of killing Marion County Sheriff's deputy John Durm, inside the sally port of the Criminal Justice Campus. He is still awaiting trial in that case.

President Trump said while visiting flood victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina that he may recommend “FEMA go away,” after suggesting states should manage disaster responses. He does not have the authority to shutter the agency, which would require congressional action.

An Indianapolis man, who was arrested for allegedly making threats to kill immigrants, appeared in court Friday morning. Police found two long guns in his home, after the FBI alerted IMPD.

That's awesome Mark I appreciate that... I'm working on a new book about my DAD who was an IFD firefighter and retired as one of the most decorated in the history but also was an Indianapolis pool hustler known as "the fox" in the 70s to make extra money to support us. He was a hero and a hustler.

Indiana Governor Mike Braun signed an executive order to ensure the Indiana Department of Health and providers in the Hoosier State follow Indiana's abortion laws. Healthcare providers must submit what's called a Terminated Pregnancy Report" to the IDOH each time a provider performs an abortion.
