I don't think he was thinking at all. It seems likely that he used AI, which confused the Norman Conquest and the massacre of Jews in Granada in 1066.

That was my first thought, but I think it's more likely that he (or whichever AI he used) has confused it with the Granada massacre of 1066. Either way, who cares about such trifling details? Certainly not Boris Johnson, lecturing an audience about Jewish history *at Auschwitz*.

Conclusion: Matilda may have been 152cm, or 5’ tall – the same height, roughly, as Queen Victoria. But she certainly wasn’t 127cm (4’2”). That’s simply an error caused by bad reporting, and one which doesn’t even fit with the evidence of Matilda’s successful childbearing.
