the really cool part was that my first ML course in my 30s had me revisiting Logo (although it was by then NetLogos).
i built a bunch of evolutionary models for the class but circled back to rebuild GoL for funsies.
GoL's somehow way more meaningful as an adult.

yeah. i was 7.
i had a CS teacher before there were such things. she was a retired math prof who agreed to do part time gifted classes for the local grade school. she ate oranges whole, rind and all, and she taught us pascal and cobol after logo. skipped basic.
ms. davidson was an OG.
