Wonderful, soul affirming week as the Visiting Writer at Vermont Studio Center. This experience has reminded me of why I write, and it has renewed my faith in humanity. What a joy giving readings and craft talks and best of all, talking with amazing, talented writers about their glorious work.

I thought that SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE was gorgeous, but oh, my heart, FOSTER by Claire Keegan is even better. The development and depth of the child protagonist has me swooning.
