1. Show your skill set in your portfolio, but make sure to give prio to what they are looking for in the offer. For example, don't give the spotlight to splash art and final renders if they look for developmental concept art. Throw in 1 or 2 pieces of that if you want to let them know you can do it.

2. If you have any pieces of work where you collaborated with other departments, include it along with the finals. Art directors love to see those, cause it shows your disposition and experience solving problems and how you empower other's work to make everything better.

3. Show variants and processes. Iterations, poses and, if you had to make corrections based on feedback, try to include a small note with that feedback and how it looked prior to the changes. It shows your willingness to adapt your work to the design needs and makes you look approachable about that.
