Never the wrong time of year! We are off to Bruges for a week on 1st Dec. Admittedly a little more comfortable in a motorhome but winter is doable.

Looks nice other than the hideous glass ;)

It's stuff like that they should be using to sell ev's :) Not had to scrape ice off a car for 4 years!

Does it not have a daily ready by schedule? Our Enyaq preheats/cools/defrosts itself every morning ready for Vicky to head to work at 8.

Luminar Neo is pretty good.

Yeah I was quite looking forward to that one, but it was a hard no from the boss!

U Hrocha was a definite no (not helped by the stench of urine by the entrance) and whilst I really liked U Zlatého tygra and could have stayed all evening, she went off shopping :D

I have and use the Bruges Guide App, one thing I'd quite like on venue guides is suitability for non beery spouses :) with regard to say ambience and availability/quality of wine etc. It's not so bad in Bruges but a couple of places in Prague from @europeanbarguide.bsky.social that were big fails :)

I dont even know where you start with public transport anymore. I'm glad I dont have to get the train to london anymore. I feel sorry for my Son who is doing that daily now. Service is appalling and going back under state control has made 0 or worse difference

If I swapped back to a petrol equivalent so a Kodiak VRS, thats going to average about 30/35 mpg so somewhere around 1750/2k a year on fuel of which about 49% of that is "tax" either fuel duty (+the same £195 ved) so fair chunk of extra compared to an EV
November 6, 2025 at 2:38 PM
yeah but do the maths on what it means and you're still quids in compared to fuel duty. 10,000 miles a year would be 300 quid, My enyaq averages 3.5 mi/kwh and I pay 7.5p a kwh to charge it so another £220 quid for that, plus £195 VED so we are looking at less than a grand a year for all that

but presumably you'll end up out tonight too? :)
