The Carnegie Hall celebrates today the 75th anniversary of Victoria de los Ángeles’ debut there.
Victoria made both her Carnegie and her New York debut in 1950, before doing her Met Opera debut in 1951.
She appeared there 27 times, sometimes accompaning herself with the guitar.

Els aplaudiments més sonors, llargs i merescuts van anar per al mestre Josep Pons i l’orquestra. Els tres protagonistes principals també van merèixer l’aprovació. Les protestes van anar per a Katharina Wagner.
