No fog at the office. It is hanging out to seaward.

And now in 2025.

By 2008 the timber wall began to grow. And now it is continuous and fairly tight to the road with a gravel and cobble shelf by the wall.

In 2003 the beach was quite sandy with a mass of storm driftwood along the road.

Goose Spit, Comox, 2008. When I was in grade 12 in 1997 the up current bluff was largely unarmoured with only the lock block groins to help capture sand. And then the rip rap started to be added and the sand supply was reduced.

Only as real as we chose it to be. Having started in an American base school in Norway and coast to coast in Canada it is hard to believe in strong heritage when things change every two to three years.

Going through old photos for a presentation. This view looking up the Halfway River from the Peace River is now flooded. Have one of the concretions as part of my office rock collection. Otherwise choss and sedimentary riprap at the bridge. But we are spoiled on the coast.

Going through old photos for a presentation. This was November 2009. Bill had more or less laid off all his staff (GFC and all) and it was just me and him auger drilling. I leaned that day that Caen is pronounced Kain in Chilliwack. Good crunchy sand and gravel there.

It is not just a UK problem. (Yes, it is not a Canadian reference, but it is what comes to mind for ’crime committed, police shoot others’.)

It seems I will be flying on one of the last of Air Canada’s pixelated shit tier livery planes. Good choice with the not so new one.

Santo Stefano in Bologna is one of my favourite churches to visit. A structure so old it predates a lot of conventional church elements. My only lament from my last visit is the holy nocino was not available in the gift shop.

If you want another display bird for your hanger there is the 419 Moose. Nice collection you have going.
