Headlines say that the stock market has closed at a record high. The headlines are not stating that the value of the USD has fallen over 10% this year. There is a correlation. It takes more cheap dollars to buy stock in companies with global value.

I just read that the argument against funding scientific research is that the costs keep rising for diminished returns - wow - and the same people are complaining of stagnation in innovation. Are they missing the connection?

Good morning! I am watching as Canadians sell their winter homes in Arizona, and legit US immigrant-citizens move back to South Korea and Mexico. Admittedly, I see a small slice of the universe, but if this is a trend, there will be a glut of homes on the market soon and the sales proceeds exported.
