My beloved Olivia and betta fish. He has made a bubble nest and will entertain a mate. This looks like a good reason to set up a new tank 😅

Despite having a rough few months (dealing with bipolar depression, infertility issues, working a program in AA, work stress, & getting sent to the psych ward) I made some hats. Dipping my toes into small business. This might be the first project I have seen to completion. Union made in the USA.

So I’m also on Threads, and tonight I think I just out-trolled a troll. It started off as an argument about the efficacy of the border wall and ended up with him smoking a bowl and me offering him virtual cookies 🍪 so overall a productive use of my Wednesday evening time.

Primary job is stressing me out. Side hustle is also stressing me out. Dealing with my dogs one of which just had major surgery and my cats who are lovely but crazy and my roommate who is friendly but requires energy and sobriety which also requires energy and my car which needs to be fixed and ☠️

I’ve now seen twice as many cats as I did when I first joined. This place has a feel like Twitter but with 100% less bigotry, misogyny, misandry, homophobia, Islamaphobia, anti-semitism, racism… need I go on. I’m liking these, what do the youth call them, skeets?

Question; is there such a thing as verified accounts here, or are we all just evolution’s new crabs huddled on the same continental shelf of the internet?

I feel like my brain has decided to retain only the useless bits of information I’ve learned over the years. For instance; the body temperature of an opossum is so low that the rabies virus can’t survive there. When will I ever need to know that?

On days like this there are two things that get me through my workday. 1 is the knowledge that once I get home I’ll get attacked with affection by my dogs 🐶🐶 and one of the cats 🐱🐱🐱 who thinks he’s a dog. 2 is tacos 🌮 that’s it.

Somehow I thought there would be more cats here?

It’s Monday and I wonder if I can make my day go by any faster by doing my job.

In general book bans drag down the literacy of future generations. And literacy is the foundation of critical thought. Critical thought being an essential life skill. This is a methodical attack from The Right. Worried about our LGBTQ+ friends in particular.

So MarbleHubby and I have a visitor, his sister, and our 20 something roommate still hasn’t come out of her room to say hi. I’m wondering if it’s a legitimate fear on her part or if younger people are just unsure of how to make a proper introduction these days. #imsoold #isthishowyouhashtag
